이 건물에서 3개월간 매우 끔찍했던 저의 경험을 공유합니다. 저는 휴가를 위해 단기임대로 이곳에 방문했지만 곧바로 공사 소음에 시달렸습니다. 외부에선 평일중 하루종일 새로운 건물을 공사중이고, 내부에선 바로 아랫층에서 인테리어 공사를 하고 있었습니다. 매일마다 드릴소리, 타카를 박는 소리, 그라인더 소리에 잠을 설치고 제대로 된 휴식을 며칠이나 했는지 기억도 나지 않습니다. 악몽과 같은 일상을 보내며 건물 관리인에게 수차례 문의했으나, 그들은 정당하다며 제가 읽지도 못하는 문서를 보내며 무시했습니다. 이 건물 매니저는 저에게 “당신은 밤에 자고 아침에 일어나라, 밤에 잠을 안자는 이유는 이곳이 파타야 이기 때문이죠?” 라며 인종차별적인 조롱을 하며 무시로 일관했고, 그 누구도 저의 말을 듣지 않았습니다. 이곳에 오기 전 그 누구도 공사 소음에 대해 설명해주지 않았고, 심지어 세 차례 전기가 중단되고, 화재경보기 오류로 맨발로 20층을 넘게 계단으로 대피한 적도 있습니다. 하지만 아무도 신경쓰지 않고 그저 반복적인 답변과 무시로 일관했습니다. 발코니에 바퀴벌레가 지나다니는 것은 일상입니다. 당부드립니다. 보증금을 지불하기 전 공사 여부를 꼭 확인하시고, 내부를 먼저 확인하세요. 누구도 저와 같은 불이익을 겪지 않길 바랍니다.
I would like to share my extremely terrible experience during the three months I stayed in this building.
I came here for a short-term rental while on vacation, but I was immediately subjected to constant construction noise. Outside, a new building was under construction all day on weekdays, and inside, renovation work was taking place directly on the floor below my unit.
Every day I was kept awake by the sounds of drilling, nail guns, and grinders. I can no longer remember how many days I actually had proper rest. It felt like living through a nightmare.
I contacted the building management many times, but they ignored my complaints, insisting that the construction was legitimate and sending me documents that I could not even read.
The building manager consistently dismissed me and even made a racist and mocking remark, saying, “You should sleep at night and wake up in the morning. The reason you don’t sleep at night is because this is Pattaya, right?” No one listened to what I was trying to say.
Before I came here, no one informed me about the construction noise. On top of that, the electricity was cut off three times, and due to a false fire alarm, I once had to evacuate barefoot by walking down more than 20 floors of stairs.
However, nobody seemed to care. All I received were repetitive responses and complete indifference.
Cockroaches walking around the balcony have become a normal sight.
My sincere advice: before paying a deposit, make sure to check whether there is any construction taking place and inspect the unit carefully first. I truly hope no one else has to go through the same experience that I did.
